ACCESSIBILITY

WHSH is engaging in an ongoing effort to make the space as enjoyable as possible.

Currently, access points to the buildings at IDA are flat dirt/gravel paths, and major buildings have low-grade ramps (some have railings, others do not) or ground-access.  In 2012 we spruced up a shitter at the front of the grounds and made it broad and with a ground-floor entrance, with people in chairs in mind. Accessing most of the restrooms, showers and some buildings near the back of the grounds requires climbing stairs or sloping pathways. It gets very dark at night but there are often activities in the well-lit barn, or in front of the main house, where lighting is dim but faces can be seen.

Although pets are not allowed, service animals are always welcome.

We make sure that the kitchen provides healthy vegetarian/vegan meals that take into consideration all allergies and aversions of participants. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your registration form.

There is a staffed medical tent stocked with anything you might need, including homeopathic/natural remedies and bodywork. Please make sure to indicate any medical or mobility needs on your registration form, and contact IDA before you get here so we can make sure you get what you need!
